This is demonstrated on our standard 30mm K9 Turf which has a 1,400 face weight and our deluxe 40mm K9 Turf which has a 1,500 face weight.

John explains how the ProFlow Urethane backing on K9 Turf works during the artificial grass installation process. K9 Turf has the most superior drainage material used in artificial grass on the market today which is a polyurethane product instead of latex. This is demonstrated by pouring a large quantity of water through the artificial turf. As you can see, all the water is draining successfully through the other side of each K9 Turf product. This is exactly what you need if you have pets that will be using the lawn as a bathroom because this demonstration will be replicated with pet urine. The pet urine will fully be able to drain through the artificial grass meaning there is no chance of a nasty odour of ammonia being left on your lawn, which is exactly what would happen if you had a latex artificial grass. This is because latex backed artificial grass does not have enough drainage holes to drain pet urine like a polyurethane backing used in the manufacture of K9 Turf, meaning pet urine will be held beneath your latex artificial lawn. This is no good because pet urine contains harmful chemicals such as ammonia and bacteria making the artificial lawn unsafe to be used by your pets and even children. Also, the nasty smell of pet urine under your latex grass cannot be eliminated even when using artificial grass cleaner the unpleasant smell can only be reduced by 30%.
